At Kingdom Glass Creations, our mission extends beyond creating beautiful custom glass installations. From the very beginning, we have believed that business is a platform to serve others, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in our community.
That is why serving with the Warrior Bonfire Program has become such an important part of our lives.
Recently, we had the incredible privilege of helping lead the Heart of the Rockies Couples Retreat in beautiful Granby, Colorado. This special retreat brought together Purple Heart veterans and their spouses for a week filled with connection, adventure, encouragement, and time to focus on strengthening their marriages and relationships.
Throughout the retreat, couples enjoyed the beauty of the Rocky Mountains while participating in activities such as boating, horseback riding, hiking, and spending intentional time together. More importantly, they had the opportunity to connect with others who understand the unique challenges and experiences that come with military service and caregiving.
One of the greatest blessings of the week was witnessing the strength, resilience, and love within these marriages. There is something truly powerful about watching couples support one another, share their stories, and discover they are not alone in their journey.
We never take for granted what an honor it is to be invited into these moments. Every retreat reminds us how fortunate we are to serve alongside such remarkable individuals. We are continually humbled by the sacrifices these veterans and their families have made for our country, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back in even the smallest way.
There are times when we wonder whether we are equipped for the responsibility of leading and serving others. Yet God continually reminds us of a simple truth that has guided us throughout our lives:
“God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.”
That truth was evident throughout the retreat. We watched friendships deepen, conversations bring healing, and couples leave with renewed hope, encouragement, and connection. We were reminded once again that when we step forward in faith, God provides everything we need.
The Warrior Bonfire Program’s mission is to foster healing, camaraderie, and connection among Purple Heart veterans and their families. Seeing that mission come to life firsthand is something we will never stop being thankful for.
As owners of Kingdom Glass Creations, we believe success is measured by more than completed projects and business growth. True success is found in serving others, investing in relationships, and using the blessings we have been given to make a difference.
We are incredibly grateful to the Warrior Bonfire Program for trusting us with this opportunity. We are thankful for every veteran and spouse who shared their journey with us, and we are blessed to be part of a community that continues to provide hope, healing, and support for those who have sacrificed so much.
Our hearts are full, our faith is strengthened, and we are reminded once again that some of life’s greatest blessings come through serving others.
With Gratitude,
Melissa & Lee Ledford
